Author Guidelines

The Global Journal of Innovation & Research (GJIR) publishes original research articles, comprehensive and short reviews, as well as technical notes. All submitted manuscripts undergo a peer-review process conducted by members of the editorial board, whose evaluations inform the editor’s final decision. Authors are strongly encouraged to have their manuscripts reviewed for English language accuracy by a proficient native speaker prior to submission. Non-compliance with these guidelines may lead to delays in the review process or rejection of the manuscript.

Global Journal of Innovation & Research (GJIR) publishes the following manuscript types:

Original Research papers/Case Study should present original, unpublished research results and must include sufficient detail to ensure the reproducibility of the experiments described. Submissions should offer comprehensive new experimental studies that make a significant contribution to existing knowledge. The manuscript length should typically range from 5 to 20 pages.

Review Article should provide concise and critical overviews of recent advancements in the author’s field of research. They must highlight significant current topics or offer interpretative and analytical discussions, rather than merely compiling existing information, on subjects of broad interest. While the work does not need to be exhaustive, any supporting experimental data should be clearly described. The length of review articles should typically range from 5 to 25 pages.

Short Communication The journal publishes exciting findings, preliminary data or studies that did not yield enough information to make a full paper as short communications. These have the same format requirements as full papers but are only up to 10 pages in length in total. Short Communications should not have subtitles such as Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion all these have to be merged into the running text. Short Communications preferably should have only 3-4 illustrations.

Manuscript Format

All submissions must be in English and should be made through the online submission system. Upon submission, each manuscript will be assigned a unique manuscript ID, which should be referenced in all future correspondence. Communication regarding the manuscript will be conducted via e-mail. Authors are encouraged to suggest up to three potential reviewers, including their complete contact information (e-mail addresses are mandatory). If there are any issues with the online submission system, manuscripts may be submitted directly via e-mail to editor.gjir@gmail.com, accompanied by a covering letter preferably from the corresponding author.

Prepare Manuscript:

Each manuscript should be typed in single spacing on A4-sized paper (8.5″ × 11″) with 1-inch margins on all sides. The content should be organized in the following sequence: Title, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgements, and References.

Title of the Manuscript

At the top of the paper, use Times New Roman font in bold, 14-point size.

Authors Details

The corresponding author, to whom all communication should be addressed, must be indicated with an asterisk (*). The title should be concise and clearly reflect the nature of the work presented. Author names should be listed as initials followed by surnames. In the bottom left corner of the title page, include “*Address for correspondence” along with a valid e-mail address. If the corresponding author’s address differs from the one listed under the authors’ names, it should be provided separately under this section.

Abstract

Abstract should be typed in Times New Roman, 12-point font size, with single line spacing. Abstracts should briefly reflect all aspects of the study and Commentary submissions must include a structured abstract of 150 to 200 words.

Keywords

Provide four to six appropriate key words after abstract.

Introduction

Provide a clear context or background for the study, outlining the objective or the hypothesis being tested. Include relevant literature with appropriate references that are directly related to your research. Avoid presenting data or conclusions from the current study in this section, and limit citations to those that are directly pertinent.

Materials and Methods

This section should be detailed enough to enable the reproduction of the experiments. All procedures must be described clearly and thoroughly. Cite previously published methods and briefly highlight any significant modifications made to them. Trade names should be capitalized, and the manufacturer’s name and address must be provided. Use subheadings to organize the content. Commonly used methods do not require extensive description.

Result & Discussion

This section should address the fulfilment of the objectives stated in the Introduction. The findings should be clearly presented using tables, figures, and photographs, as appropriate.

Conclusions

Conclusions should align with the objectives of the study, but avoid making unqualified statements or drawing conclusions that are not fully supported by the data. Do not claim priority or refer to work that is incomplete. New hypotheses may be proposed if appropriate, but they should be clearly identified as such.

References

References should be numbered consecutively in the order in which they are first mentioned in the text, not in alphabetical order. Cite references in the text, tables, and figure legends using Arabic numerals in superscript. References cited only in tables or figure legends should be numbered according to their first appearance in the text referring to that table or figure.

Avoid overly large tables that extend beyond a single A4-sized page.

Conflicts of Interest

Authors must disclose any personal or financial relationships that could be perceived as potential conflicts of interest. This statement should be included in the manuscript file immediately before the References section.

Copyright and Permission

By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm that it has not been published previously and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Authors will be required to sign a copyright transfer form, provided by the Editor, before the manuscript can be published. The journal allows authors to retain copyright without restrictions.

Ethical matter

Authors publishing results from in vivo experiments involving animals or humans must state in the Materials and Methods section whether appropriate ethical approval was obtained from the relevant committees. Additionally, authors submitting research involving human subjects are required to provide a notarized letter of approval from the Ethics Committee or Institutional Review Board.
